Byte

class Byte : Number, Comparable<Byte> (source)

A signed 8-bit integer with values from -128 through 127.

Arithmetic with Byte, Short or Int operands produces Int; wider operands determine the result type shown in the signature. inc, dec and conversion back to Byte wrap to 8 bits. Bitwise extensions are available in kotlin.experimental.
